We are a web design and development company based in Caernarfon, Gwynedd. Our main business is to design professional, effective, successful websites at affordable and competitive prices.

We recognise the importance of having a website, particularly in our local area of North Wales. Whether you are a small start-up or an established company, a web presence is invaluable. Responsive Websites:

A responsive website is one that adapts its layout depending on the device being used. A growing number of people now use mobile devices to use the internet. With recent figures showing that more than half of all searches now start on a mobile device, it is more important than ever to ensure your website is responsive and accessible on all devices.

In addition to this, as of the 21st April 2015, Google have updated their search algorithm, so that responsive websites are ranked more favourably when searching on Google using mobile devices. More information can be found here.

Though our websites have always worked on all devices, this latest trend of responsive websites makes it easier for the user to navigate your site on their chosen device.

Because of this, all websites we have built since the introduction of this new technology have been fully responsive and all new websites we create are designed in this way from the beginning. We understand that an attractive and professional looking website is essential if you want your business to stand out, and believe this goes hand in hand with usability and customer experience.

Maintaining and Updating Your Website:

We have different maintenance options available, including an option to update the website yourself:

A website where you email us your changes. All changes received by 12pm are done within 24 hours (Monday - Friday). The benefits here are that your website will be updated using our specialist web design software, and all files and images are optimised for use on the web, as well as for the best performance with Search Engines.
A Content Management System, where you can edit the content of your website yourselves.
A combination of 1 & 2 where some of the pages that you don’t believe will need to be urgently changed will be updated by Delwedd’s staff, but you can still update other sections of the website yourself.

Our Process / How We Work:

Step 1. Chat

The very first step is where you decide whether or not we’re the right team for the job. We believe the best way to get started is to get together for a chat and discuss your needs. We prefer to do this at our office in the Galeri, Caernarfon, so that you can meet the team and get a real sense of who we are and how we work; there’s a nice cup of coffee available too! But we’re also happy to discuss the project with you over the phone or meet you at another location, whatever works best for you.

It’s during this stage that you have the opportunity to tell us your wants, needs and any ideas you already have for your new website, both in terms of design and content. Don’t worry if you’re not too sure, we can put our almost 20 years’ experience to good use and offer you some guidance and direction. We’ll also tell you what we can offer and present you with a proposal.

Step 2. Design

If we’re at step two, it means you’ve accepted the proposal - great news! We’re excited to be working with you.

Following our meeting and when the questionnaire we will have provided you with is completed, we create a draft of a responsive website we think you’ll love. We incorporate your input and ideas, and create the draft to be in keeping with your brand identity, presenting you with it within the agreed upon time scale.

We hope you’re happy with it straight away, but if not we will continue to make any required amendments until the draft meets your approval. We don’t move on to step 3 until you’re totally satisfied.

Step 3. Build

Once you’re happy with the design and we have agreed on a structure, we begin building your new responsive website. Again, we can guide you here by suggesting a structure (list of headings/pages) based on your needs, if you are unsure.

At this stage a member of our team will be assigned to you and your project, and will be working with you individually from this point on.

We are also unique at Delwedd in that there’s no limit to the number of pages you can have in your website, and there’s no extra cost to add more pages. We also offer the option of adding or removing pages once your website is live, again at no extra cost, should you feel this is necessary. We believe a good website is never finished, and should instead offer the flexibility to grow and adapt to reflect your needs. After building the pages we optimise and add any content that you have supplied us with, and add any features/functionality that you require (e.g. online shop, database, secure areas).

Step 4. Launch

Your new website is now ready to go live! We will manage this process smoothly for you.

If yours is a new website, we will work with you on deciding and securing the domain name that you want. We will set up your email accounts and assist you on configuring your mail clients (Outlook, Mac Mail etc.) to manage your emails. If you have an existing website, we will work to ensure there is no disruption to your services whilst we set your website live.

We will also provide you with an Internet Marketing strategy, and will register your new website with all major Search Engines.

Step 5. Ongoing

We believe in the importance of keeping your website current, both for the user satisfaction, and to improve your rankings with Search Engines.

Unlike many other web designers, we encourage you to make regular changes to your website and will carry out any changes to your website content within 24 hours (Mon-Fri), at no extra charge, with no limit to the amount of changes you can make. Our priority is to make your website and your business a success.

A website is never “finished”, and we will work with you on further Search Engine Optimisation and are always ready to answer any questions you have about your Website.
